Nursing Program Details
As a Nursing major, you will be admitted directly into the BSN program and take discipline-specific courses within your first year. You’ll also sharpen your skills in a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Center (CSC), which features two high-fidelity simulation suites and a health assessment skills lab to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes learned in the classroom and off-campus clinical experiences.
Our Nursing program provides you immediate insight into the theories and concepts essential to nursing practice, professionalism, and your role as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team.
Employment Outlook
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects remarkable growth for the nursing profession—15 percent from 2016 to 2026. As the need for health care grows, researchers project that one million RNs will retire by 2030, which will contribute to a significant nursing shortage.**
Program Highlights
The BSN program will integrate Cabrini’s mission, Education of the Heart, to provide you with tools to succeed in nursing practice and contribute to optimal health outcomes for local, national, and global communities.
Guided by Cabrini’s mission and Catholic identity, Nursing students will develop clinical judgment skills in order to provide safe, quality, inclusive, and holistic care that preserves human dignity and supports vulnerable populations.
The Cabrini Nursing program will examine the needs of individuals, families, and communities in diverse health care settings while recognizing barriers and opportunities related to health equity.
*Does not include self-paced Computer Literacy if required (1.5 credits)
