Studio Art Minor Program Details

The Studio Art minor, hosted by the Department of Fine Arts, provides students with visual means of creative expression to expand, enhance, and refine the skills and knowledge essential for the professional fine artist and to develop the powers of critical analysis.

Required Classes

  • FNA 100 - Introduction to Studio Art* 
  • FNA 105 - Drawing Techniques*
  • FNA 202 - Survey of Art History *
  • FNA 250 - Oil Painting
  • FNA 253 – Printmaking
  • FNA 255 - Sculpture

*Graphic Design majors choosing to minor in studio art must take six credits of studio art or graphic design electives and three credits of an art history elective instead of FNA 100, FNA 105, and FNA 202, which are required for the major.
