Education Program Details
Cabrini University teacher education programs provide the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to deal with children from all walks of life and encourage the development of a philosophy of education consistent with American democratic ideals and traditions.
Our field-experience program gives Cabrini Education majors an advantage. As an Education major, you'll apply your knowledge to real-life teaching scenarios, beginning your field experience as early as sophomore year, depending on the certificate program you choose. In fact, Cabrini Education majors have five hands-on field experiences even before their capstone senior year student teaching assignment.
In each experience, you’re paired with a cooperating teacher and University supervisor for extensive, high-quality mentoring.
Many graduates elect to return to Cabrini to earn a Master of Education (MEd), a Doctor of Education, or an additional certification or endorsement. We offer an MEd 4+1 Program which allows students to add an English as a Second Language certification and an MEd degree in a fifth year of study.
