The opportunities for students to work with experienced faculty on meaningful, rigorous research are rapidly expanding across all majors and disciplines.
- Students may receive credit for collaborative research with faculty and have been published in prominent peer-reviewed journals.
- Research projects typically require literature review, empirical analysis, and a written report, poster, or oral presentation of the completed research project.
- Research involving human subjects is reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Before registration, students must receive written permission from the instructor, the department chair and the dean for academic affairs.
- Undergraduate Research forms are available in the Registrar’s Office.
Students and faculty are encouraged to review the studies and use these examples as catalysts for the creation, study, and presentation of new research questions.
