The current climate of both the campus and our country is exactly why our mission is Education of the Heart. Cabrini is a unique institution whose work is to produce inclusive, socially conscious leaders. Our mission calls upon you as students to be engaged citizens and to “Live with Purpose.”
When I think about what it has been like as a staff member during this transition from a college to a university, what comes to mind is a saying my teachers and parents would repeat to me as a child: "Good, better, best. Never let it rest."
In college, students explore diversity during thought-provoking dialogue in their classes. But at Cabrini, we also offer activities and events that engage students in these discussions.
The college's mission "Education of the Heart" is the reason we have such a strong sense of Cabrini CommUNITY. College can at times feel difficult to navigate; so can working at one. However, I've worked at a variety of colleges and Cabrini is the only place I felt UNITY within the community.
