Join us for a Juneteenth Celebration!

Monday, June 19

Cabrini will hold its second annual Juneteenth celebration on Monday, June 19. This year’s theme, “Independence, Freedom, and Emancipation,” is expressed by the Fawohodie, a West African Adinkra symbol that represents the Ashanti King’s stool. Our keynote speaker will be the dynamic professor, Cabrini University alum, and author of Sister Power, Patricia Reid-Merritt, DSW (ΚΌ73).

Experience the captivating rhythms of the Tyehimba African Drum and Dance Ensemble, the soulful sounds of the Foundation Singers, the engaging storytelling of Keepers of the Culture, and an interactive capoeira performance with Mestre Kamau. There will be face painting and moon bouncing for the children, food by BBQ Clubhouse, line dancing, and lots of fun.

Register now to attend this event.
