Mother Ursula Award

The Mother Ursula Award, given in honor of our founding President, was begun in 1968 to honor a senior student and is the only award given to a student that is voted on by his/her peers.

Honoring a senior who, in the opinion of his or her classmates, has best fulfilled the ideals of the University through academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership, and service to fellow classmates and Cabrini.

  • Nominations for the Mother Ursula Award are taken from senior students, faculty, and staff of Cabrini University.
  • There can be up to ten (10) nominees
  • Voting takes place during Commencement Kick-Off via ballot.
  • All current senior students may vote once.

The Mother Ursula Award winner is announced at the Senior Send-off by either the President of the Alumni Association and/or the previous year’s recipient.

The award is officially presented at Commencement, with a plaque, by the President of the Alumni Association.
