Affiliate Agreements with Graduate and Professional Programs

The following are the programs with which Cabrini has entered into affiliation agreements:
Occupational Therapy (MSOT)
with Gwynedd Mercy University
Cabrini University and Gwynedd Mercy University have an articulation agreement that facilitates the matriculation of qualified Cabrini students into the Master’s in Occupational Therapy program at Gwynedd Mercy University. As part of this agreement Gwynedd Mercy will guarantee an interview for the top three MSOT applicants from Cabrini University who meet the admissions criteria each year.
The list of admission pre-requisites (as listed on the Gwynedd Mercy website) for the MSOT program are:
- Anatomy and Physiology I & II (with a laboratory component): 8 credits
- General Psychology: 3 credits
- Abnormal Psychology: 3 credits
- Developmental (Lifespan) Psychology: 3 credits
- Sociology/Anthropology: 3 credits
- Statistics/Research Methods: 3 credits
Students may pursue any undergraduate major at Cabrini University as long as they take these pre-requisite courses.
Mental Health Counseling (MS)
with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)
Cabrini University and PCOM have an articulation agreement that facilitates the matriculation of qualified Cabrini students into PCOM’s Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling. As part of this agreement, PCOM will admit up to five Cabrini students per year provided the students have successfully completed their undergraduate pre-requisites and satisfied the admission criteria. These criteria are as follows:
- The candidate must complete the undergraduate course requirements for their Cabrini degree
- The candidate must have earned a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average by the end of their junior year
- Cabrini students would need to major in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or Nursing. For those students not majoring in Psychology, the following courses should be taken:
- Introduction to Psychology
- Research/Statistics
- Abnormal Psychology/Psychopathology
Additional Information
Although entrance requirements vary from one professional school to another, there are three general requirements requested by these schools that will enhance the strength of student applications:
- strong academic success in required courses
- a strong background in liberal arts education
- and involvement in a variety of related professional and social activities
