In our work to support underserved and disadvantaged students and communities, I wondered about the role faith and religion have in improving urban education. This is what I learned from my experiences this summer.
Ronald W. Whitaker II, EdD, joined Cabrini in 2015, and currently serves as Associate Professor and the Director of District and School Relations in the School of Education. He also serves as Faculty Director of the Center for Urban Education, Equity, and Improvement.
He specializes in culturally responsive pedagogy, urban education, educational programming for black males, and issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
