How to get involved your first semester
As a Digital Communication & Social Media major, as well as a Communication major, you are able to get your hands on professional equipment within your first semester... how cool is that?!
Jillian Smith
Manager of Student Media Operations/General Manager, WYBFA 2009 Cabrini College graduate, Jillian Smith is still trying to separate herself from “alumna Jill” to “college employee Jill.” A product of the Communication Department in which she now works, Jill is the Manager of Student Media Operations for the campus media, as well as the General Manager for the student radio station, WYBF. She’s also an adjunct professor on (and off!) campus, teaching the radio practicum courses and the COM 101 course at various high schools in the region through Cabrini's high school partnership.
On campus, Jill can usually be found in the Com wing, singing and dancing in the on-air studio of WYBF, helping students with their media assignments, or running around trying to keep the wing in order. Good thing she’s powered by coffee!
When Jill’s not at Cabrini, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as teaching fitness classes and working out, but thinks that could be because she also really loves chocolate. She is also in the midst of completing her master's degree in leadership at Cabrini, hopefully graduating in May 2017.
