Anton Shufutinsky, PhD, DHSc, MSPH
Chair and Assistant Professor
Anton Shufutinsky, PhD serves as Chair and Assistant Professor in the Organization Development and Change PhD Program and the Coordinator of the Master of Science in Leadership Program in the School of Business and Professional Studies. He is also the Chief Innovation and Experience Officer at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Leadership Education, a board member for the Philadelphia Region Organization Development Network (PRODN) and the Nerney Leadership Institute (NLI), and is the lead for the Bridging Research with Practice Hub, the research element of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences.
Shufutinsky has over 25 years of leadership and management experience, consisting of over 20 years of military service in the US Navy and US Army as well as corporate management and leadership positions in Fortune 100 companies Merck & General Dynamics. His consulting experience includes work with the US Navy, US Army, General Dynamics, Northrop-Grumman, SafeGuard Environmental, AMI, Trinity University (Dublin, Ireland) Faculty of Health Science, Cambridge Partners, Salus University, Defense Logistics Agency, American Society of Safety Professionals, and the Cooper Union, among others.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Chaminade University, a master of science in public health (MSPH) from San Diego State University, a doctorate in public health science from Nova Southeastern University, and a second doctorate in organization development from Cabrini University. Shufutinsky has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals including OD Practitioner, OD Review, Organization Development Journal, and the International Journal of Organizational Innovation, among others, as well as several book chapters. He’s an Associate Editor for Organization Development Review, and a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Veterans Studies and several other journals. He is a member of ODN, AOM, ISODC, ILA, and NTL and holds several committee positions in these and other professional associations.
Anton holds certifications in neuro-axiological coaching (NCRT/CAC) from the Self-Leadership Institute, and is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Registered Organization Development Consultant (RODC). He is a faculty representative on the Academic Honesty and Student Grievance Board and serves on the Arts and Research Symposium at Cabrini University.
Dr. Shufutinsky’s research foci include leadership development, organization design, organizational research methods, DIME (diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, & equity), corporate social responsibility, organizational safety culture, and veteran studies.
