Rebecca Steffy, PhD, was introduced to Writing Center work in 2011, while working on her doctorate in literary studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has loved it ever since. After tutoring for several years, Rebecca served as a TA Coordinator for the UW-Madison Writing Center, prior to moving back to the Philadelphia area. While in Madison, she also taught first-year writing, and worked as a teaching assistant for large literature classes. She earned her B.A. in English at Kenyon College, and an M.A. in English at Villanova University. She lives in Upper Roxborough, Philadelphia, with her family.
Darla Nagy came to math tutoring work through numerous life changes. She earned her BS in Accounting and Information Systems at Bowling Green State University and then earned her MBA at Florida International University while working in programming and product assurance at Burroughs/Unisys. After marriage and two children, she then worked as a Teaching Assistant in Learning Support in an elementary school in the Souderton Area School District which led to a Math Assistant job in the North Penn School District. After earning her secondary math teaching certification and her Masters in Education at Cabrini University, she became a math adjunct at Cabrini University and began tutoring in the Math Resource Center in 2010. She lives in Harleysville, PA with her husband.
