Living in the Cabrini Apartment Complex

Posted on 11/21/2021 10:21:27 PM by Anna Schmader

Students who continue to live on-campus past their first year, have the opportunity to choose their housing. Freshmen are placed in either Xavier, Woodcrest, or East residence halls. Once sophomore year rolls around, students can move to Infante, Dixon, South, East, or West. Juniors can stay in either South, West, or The Cabrini Apartment Complex (CAC).

When it comes to seniors, they have the choice to live in West or the Cabrini Apartment Complex. CAC is three floors and each apartment holds about 3 to 5 students. Inside each apartment, residents are provided a full kitchen (no dishwasher), living area, dining table with chairs, 5 or 6 beds with closets, 2 bathrooms with showers, 2 sinks, and 1 storage closet.

Having an (almost) full kitchen has been beneficial for time management. Not having to wait in line at Crush or Cavs Corner allows me to make something quick if I’m in a rush. It alleviates the stress of knowing I have more control over my food preferences and timing.

Not only does the full kitchen help, but the living area and dining table are other spots that I’ve been able to resort to when I need a different study spot.

There’s plenty of room for additional furnishing and decorating as well as hosting guests - specifically other on-campus residents. The apartments generally give more room for residents to relax and provide a welcoming environment for visitors!
