The Benefits of Dual Enrollment for Prospective Students

Posted on 4/29/2021 4:16:00 PM by Anna Schmader

As a student at Cabrini University, the biggest takeaway that has become my mantra is to get ahead to stay ahead. I took criminology and psychology courses at Cabrini in my senior year of high school, thanks to the dual enrollment program. This opportunity allowed me to get a sense of Cabrini's curriculum, campus, and classes. By taking those courses, I learned how far a college-level credit could take me compared to AP or honors classes in high school.

Cabrini's dual enrollment partnership specializes in relationships with high school students to take college-level courses. Through these partnerships, Cabrini offers junior and senior students the opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits through dual credit, summer programming, and additional educational programs. Later, when students are ready to go to college, they are able to transfer those credits to the institution of their choosing. Being able to receive hands-on learning that can benefit your near future is a fantastic opportunity that should be more known about.

Some students go through the struggles of not knowing what to do in college or not have enough credits.  This unique dual enrollment program allows students to get a real college curriculum experience before entering whatever university they later choose, putting them on the path to success early on.
