1. Sleeping In
Are you tired of waking up early for class? I know I am. During the summer, I can stay up late and sleep in as much as I want without having to worry about waking up for class. Therefore, I can let my inner night owl roam free.
2. The Beach
Growing up on Long Island, I have always spent a lot of time at the beach. The beach is a great place to think, write, hang out with friends, and ultimately just take in the sun and positive vibes.
3. Spending Much More Time with Friends
Not having to worry about classwork or homework is an amazing feeling. Coming home to all of your hometown friends after two semesters away at college is even better. It feels so good meeting back up and catching up with friends back home.
4. Camping
Each and every year, my friends and I plan a camping trip during the summer. It’s one of the things that I’m most excited about. We always end up switching campsite locations so every time we camp it’s a whole different vibe. It’s amazing and fun to see how much closer the group gets after turning off our phones and having old fashioned fun for a few days.
5. County Fairs and Amusement Parks
As soon as May hits, all of or at least most fairs that are closest to you open up. I love thrill rides and a good adrenaline rush. It is also a cheaper alternative for if you would like to save money instead of going to Six Flags or Dorney Park. All of the lights from the rides make me happy at night. I love to take pictures and videos to capture the moments.
