The Graphic Design and Fine Arts Department sponsored its first poster contest for high school students, the Art + Effect Poster Contest, for which students submitted conceptual posters using traditional media or computer-generated graphics that highlighted the theme of “Equality.”
Alumnus Abel Rodríguez, JD ('01) returned to Cabrini in the fall of 2015 as an assistant professor. He regularly teaches ECG 300: Immigration, Law, and Social Justice, in which students engage in advocacy for migrant rights.
RADNOR, Pa. (Nov. 8, 2017)—Cabrini University celebrated the impact of education and honored members of its community during its annual Visionaries Gala on Nov. 3. Held at Cabrini’s historic Woodcrest Estate, the black-tie optional event included a silent auction, awards ceremony, and a “Make It Happen” fundraiser.
RADNOR, Pa. (Nov. 2, 2017)—Cabrini Communication students were awarded a Gold Davey Award from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for the student-produced multimedia website FixforAddiction.com. The students utilized their creative talents to develop the now award-winning site that examines the opioid epidemic through personal accounts by people impacted and extensive research by experts and academics.
