Communication Project Wins Silver Davey Award

The Communication program’s honors convergence project has won its sixth Davey Award—a silver for the website MagnifyMentalHealth.com. Produced by a team of 12 Communications majors who graduated this past May, the website features multimedia assets and the stories of people touched by mental illness.

The Cabrini community came together on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in celebration of Cabrini Day, an annual event to honor the heritage and mission of Cabrini’s namesake, Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini. The event’s 2019 theme, Food Matters, came to life in student-created multidisciplinary academic presentations raising awareness of issues related to food.

Visionaries Gala Recognizes Four Cabrini Honorees

The fifth annual Visionaries Gala honored awardees Joseph J. Romano, PhD, and Sharon C Schwarze, PhD, Professors Emeriti of Philosophy; Abel Rodríguez, JD (’01) Founding Director of the Cabrini Center on Immigration; and Joan Buzzallino (’66), Trustee Emerita, Vice President, IBM (ret.) and raised more than $192,000.
