RADNOR, Pa. (July 1, 2020)—Cabrini University received $65,000 in scholarship funding from the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The W.W. Smith Charitable Trust has awarded a total of $1.8 million to more than 400 Cabrini students since it began issuing grants in 1980.
“We are deeply grateful to the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust for its continued partnership with Cabrini and for its charitable vision to fund our Cabrinian Education of the Heart, as well as many other institutions in the Philadelphia area,” said Cabrini President Donald B. Taylor, PhD.
The scholarships will be awarded to full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate degree-granting program who demonstrate financial need, are in good academic standing, and are from local counties including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Camden.
The W.W. Smith Charitable Trust is a private foundation established by William Wikoff Smith in 1977. The Trust makes grants in the greater Philadelphia region to support basic needs, college scholarships, maritime heritage preservation, and medical research primarily in heart disease, cancer, and AIDS.
