George WalterRADNOR, Pa. (Aug. 21, 2019)—Cabrini University has named George J. Walter Vice President of Enrollment Management. He is scheduled to begin his role on Sept. 3, 2019.

“George is an experienced and skilled leader in higher education enrollment,” said Donald B. Taylor, PhD, President of Cabrini University. “We are thrilled that his dedication to Cabrini’s mission in higher education is matched by a commitment to its community.”

For more than 40 years, Walter has led university admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management for degree and certificate programs serving both traditional undergraduates and adult learners.

Most recently, Walter served as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management at Elizabethtown College. There, he oversaw the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices and spearheaded the creation and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan that supported institutional priorities. He also worked on the development and implementation of a financial aid matrix for the College’s enrollment targets.

Throughout his experience, Walter has developed teams who are positioned to collaborate with faculty and staff to support university initiatives. Previously, he served as Vice President for Enrollment Services at LaSalle University where he helped enhance awareness for the University, worked with faculty on outreach programs, and enhanced yield communication. He also held roles at Villanova University including Associate Dean of Enrollment and Director of Financial Assistance.

In addition, Walter has the perspective of being a Cabrini parent—his son George (’08) earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and now works in law enforcement.

Walter earned a Master of Education at Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education at LaSalle University.
