Team Cabrini Comes Together to Cheer the Philadelphia Phillies on to a Win!

Posted on 9/18/2018 12:30:56 PM

On Friday, Sept. 14, Cabrini hosted its annual Cabrini Night at the Phillies.

Students, alumni, families, staff, and faculty gathered at Citizens Bank Park to cheer the Philadelphia Phillies on to a huge 14-2 victory against the Miami Marlins.

First-year students received a free ticket to the game along with this year’s specially-designed Night at the Phillies T-shirt while other attendees were able to purchase a T-shirt, discounted tickets, and a food voucher for the game.

To start off the night, the Cabrini cheerleaders and school mascot, Calvin the Cavalier, gathered on the field to cheer on the first pitch.

“This is my fourth Cabrini Night at the Phillies game and I think it is an awesome opportunity to not only meet students, but also alumni, Trustees, and friends of Cabrini,” said Brian Eury, Acting President and Chief of Staff. “It is a great night for networking, but also to just take a step back to enjoy the night with friends and family.”

At the bottom of the fifth inning, the Cabrini Dance Team headed out onto the field to put on an exciting performance with the Philly Phanatic.

“As a senior, it was my last time performing at Cabrini Night at the Phillies and very bittersweet,” Alexis Johnson (’19) said. “I am going to miss performing at the game with my team and that feeling seconds before going out on the field.”

Jessica Hayes (’19) also spent the night on the field as she is serving as an official 2018 Phillies Ballgirl.
