Cabrini Board Elects VP of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

RADNOR, Pa. (Aug. 5, 2015)—Cabrini College announced that Amy Lambert, senior vice president at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), was elected to its Board of Trustees. Lambert’s term is effective immediately.

As senior vice president at CHOP, Lambert manages the operations, strategic growth, and financial viability of the largest pediatric ambulatory network in the nation.

The CHOP Care Network is comprised of more than 50 locations, including 31 primary care pediatric practices, 10 specialty care centers, and 12 hospital affiliates. Her expertise is in operations, strategic network expansion, and affiliation relationships.

Lambert joined CHOP in 2006 as health systems director, and became assistant vice president in 2008, vice president in 2009, and senior vice president in 2011.

Prior to joining CHOP, Lambert was employed by the University of Pennsylvania Health System in various roles, including interim chief operating officer for The Department of Medicine and associate executive director of the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier in her career, she held leadership and management roles in both private and non-profit physician practices.

Lambert holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Special Education from Lynchburg College. She serves on The Penn Medicine Program for the LGBT Health Advisory Council and has served on the Boards of White Horse Retirement Community (2001-14) and Gordon Park Associates (2004-06).

Amy is a member of Medical Group Management Association, and has been a featured speaker at conferences of the Universal Healthcare Consortium, the Institute for Patient and Family Centered Care, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She also serves in professional forums related to Children’s Hospitals and physician practice management.
