RADNOR, Pa. (May 18, 2015)—Cabrini College appointed Jeff Gingerich, Ph.D., provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, and Mary Harris, Ph.D., dean of Academic Affairs, effective immediately.

They previously served interim roles in these positions.

“Dr. Gingerich and Dr. Harris have helped the College expand through their work developing new degree programs, solidifying new educational partnerships and promoting an environment of student and faculty research,” said Donald B. Taylor, president of Cabrini College. “With their proven records of success, I am confident that they are the right leaders to help Cabrini College achieve our vision for the future.”

Gingerich joined Cabrini as associate professor of sociology in 2005, and has since served as vice provost/dean for Academic Affairs. He has provided leadership to many of the cross-divisional institutional priorities at the College, including the development of a Campus Master Plan and Mission Integration strategic plan.

Prior to his work at Cabrini, Gingerich was associate professor of sociology at Bluffton University in Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University, and a Master of Arts degree and a doctorate in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mary Harris joined Cabrini in 2001 as assistant professor of finance and economics in the business department. During her time at Cabrini, she served as the department chair and was promoted to associate professor. Prior to being appointed interim dean, she served as associate dean for Academic Affairs.

Before joining the College, Harris worked in corporate finance and accounting in the banking, pharmaceutical, and securities industries.

Harris earned a bachelor’s in economics from Ursinus College, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from St. Joseph’s University, and a doctoral degree in economics with concentrations in public and international finance from Lehigh University.
