A Cabrini student in the library

Your Future: Life After Cabrini

Beginning this fall, the Center for Student Success will hold one-on-one meetings with first-year students, sophomores, juniors, and others who cannot complete their degree by May 2024. Individualized transfer plans to complete their degrees with minimal disruption in their course of study and path to graduation will be developed for each student. Each student’s plan will target the local college or university most aligned with their program of study and offering the best opportunities for academic, personal, and career success. Our goal is for every student to find an educational home that is the best fit.

Our Department Chairs and Program Coordinators are also meeting with seniors and graduate students so that they are aware of what they need to complete in order to graduate in May 2024 (or discussing the need to transition to a partner school if graduation in May 2024 isn’t realistic).

We have identified four partner institutions that are committed to supporting Cabrini students in the continuation of their education beginning in fall 2024: Ursinus CollegeHoly Family UniversityGwynedd Mercy University, and Eastern University.

Additionally, we have established three program partners for specific academic areas: Albright College for Music Industry majors, Thomas Jefferson University for some Graphic Design majors, and the +1 Master’s at Saint Joseph’s University for Senior Criminology majors.

Being a partner school means that the school has signed an official agreement with Cabrini and has committed to the following when students who are in good academic, conduct, and financial standing transition their study in fall 2024:

  1. Matching out-of-pocket costs (matching Cabrini’s tuition and student’s financial aid);
  2. Teaching out Cabrini’s curriculum so that students remain on track for graduation; and
  3. Accepting all credits, including those earned with “D” letter grades, except where a certification/accreditation expects a higher grade.

For those students interested in finding an academic home at Villanova, our affiliate school, the university has developed an expedited, fee-free review process with two pathways for transfer, to enable rapid decisions around enrollment and financial aid for the 2024/25 academic year.

Representatives from our partner and affiliate schools will be on campus on various days/times throughout the semester. We will advertise those times to all.

Cabrini cares deeply about our students and parents, and here you’ll find resources to support you. If you don’t find the information you’re seeking or you’d like to discuss a personal/specific need, please contact the Center for Student Success.
