COVID-19 Update
March 2023
Given the recent release of updated CDC guidance, which now consolidates guidance for COVID 19 with that for other respiratory viruses (like influenza and RSV) and no longer calls for a specific 5-day isolation period for COVID, Cabrini University is adjusting its approach to managing COVID cases.
Students who test positive for COVID will no longer be required to move to a separate isolation space, and Faculty/Staff will no longer need to isolate for the 5-day period. You will be asked, as those who are ill with other respiratory viruses are, to self-isolate, staying out of classes/offices and public spaces and getting meals to go (wear a mask while in the Cav’s Corner or The Grille) until symptoms are improving overall and you have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
There will no longer be any formal institutional determination or monitoring of return-to-class/office dates; campus community members will exercise their own best judgement about when to return based on these recommendations. All are asked to take additional precautions (e.g., wearing a mask when around others) until symptoms are improving overall.
