Every May, the saddest, most amazing thing happens. Our students—students who have worked with us, studied with us, learned with us, and taught us—graduate. And we miss them like crazy, but we are happy to see them go and make their mark as "engaged citizens of the world."
In 2016, Mackenzie Romaine Harris graduated from Cabrini College. Mackenzie served as president of the CRS Ambassadors, editor-in-chief of the Loquitur, an intern in the Wolfington Center, and was seen as a leader on campus. Upon graduation, she accepted a position as a communications associate with Network, the Catholic Social Justice Lobby in Washington, DC. Not only did Mackenzie gain the education of the heart Cabrini holds as its mission, she has found ways to continue to serve the world.
On September 27, Mackenzie published a blog post for Network titled Voting: A Privilege and a Responsibility. I hope you'll check it out to see how she has decided to use her "privilege to work for the greater good."
