Moment for Peace

Posted on 9/16/2016 5:52:28 PM by Tom Southard

On August 30, the Cabrini community gathered for its first Moment for Peace, held every Tuesday at 12:30pm in front of Founder’s Hall. The Moment for Peace is a time for the Cabrini community to come together to reflect on what’s going in their own lives and in the world. This weekly event is sponsored by the Wolfington Center, Campus Ministry, and the Office for Student Diversity.

In our first Moment, we discussed our wishes for the world, and chalked them into the pavement as we discussed how to radiate peace. In our second Moment, we focused on mindfulness, and bringing peace into our own lives.

Our Moments are communal, shared together as we consider the world. As Mother Teresa said, “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”

We hope you’ll join us, any Tuesday during the semester at 12:30pm in front of Founder’s Hall.
