"How's College Going?"

Posted on 11/28/2017 12:48:39 AM by Michelle Guerin

This is probably the most common question that I heard during Thanksgiving break. Sometimes I feel like I have a script that I say to every family member. No one is being mean, but after not seeing family members for awhile, school is the first topic that comes up over and over!

This time, while sitting around the table with a bunch of family members, I was able to talk about current events that Cabrini University has brought to my attention, which I am so grateful for.

Taking classes at Cabrini like the Engagements for the Common Good courses and joining Catholic Relief Services has taught me about immigration, human trafficking, and even the topic of climate change that I was never really introduced to in high school. Learning topics that are going on around our world blew my mind ... I am just so interested.

I am just amazed how much my view on the world has changed within the last two years. With the news nowadays, I am now able to have informed conversations with people and actually know what is happening in the world.

I cannot wait till I learn more in the classrooms and inform more about my teachings. I really applaud Cabrini on how intune the class teachings are and I appreciate everything the classroom has taught me about the world we live in currently.
