Whether you’re coming in for your first day ever at Cabrini or getting ready to start your final year on campus, it’s not too late to get involved in all of the different clubs and activities Cabrini has to offer!
Cabrini has more than 50 different clubs and organizations throughout its campus and there is something for everyone (seriously, everyone). Not only this, but it is incredibly easy to get involved and join one of these clubs almost immediately when you get on campus!
Personally, I may have gotten a bit too involved immediately in my freshman year (but even that didn’t turn out badly). Knowing I wanted to check out different clubs and get involved right away, I went to the fall Involvement Fair to learn about different opportunities. Before I knew it, I had signed up for about 10 different clubs!
Of course, that was a bit excessive and I’m not still involved in all of them; but it did give me the chance to try new things and visit one or two meetings of each to find out what I really enjoyed being a part of!
Another good choice I made early on was running for my freshman class senate. Not only did this get me involved with a great group of people, but I was able to get to know some amazing faculty and staff along the way and learn more about Cabrini very quickly.
Now, four years later, I have stayed involved with the Student Government Association and will be serving on the executive board for the upcoming year. Freshman interested in running for SGA Freshman Senate can even start the process of getting involved this summer!
College is all about trying something new and exciting! While of course you don’t want to overwhelm yourself, be sure to get involved early with different clubs and activities to find a new opportunity or passion and meet some great new people along the way!
