I’m sure most of you have been a part of the ongoing debate about which coffee chain sells the best coffee: Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. As you can tell from the title, Starbucks is my clear choice. One of my favorite things to do in my free time (besides musical theatre) is drink Starbucks coffee. I can drink it at any time, in any location (at Cabrini, Starbucks Coffee can be found at the Bean), or in any form. It’s rare that I go a day without scanning my app, gaining my stars, and drinking out of that famous green straw. Because they have their own cup size language and such a wide variety on their menu, going into a Starbucks unfamiliar with the menu and terminology can get overwhelming. In this blog, I’m going to share my go-to Starbucks drinks for all my different caffeine cravings.
My Go-To Simple, Everyday Drink
- Grande Iced Coffee
- Cream (Oat-milk sub for non-dairy option)
- No classic syrup
This drink is definitely something very simple and for someone who likes the taste of coffee. This is my favorite any time-of-day drink, but I especially enjoy it on my way to class or earlier in the morning. There is no sweetener in this, so if you have a sweet tooth, you may want to add a couple pumps of your favorite flavor!
My Go-To Sweet but Healthy Drink
- Grande Cold Brew
- 4 pumps of sugar-free vanilla
- Topped with sweet cream cold foam
Most of the time, I prefer unsweetened coffee; however, when I do want something sweet without all the calories, this is what I order. It gives you the sweetness from the sugar-free vanilla syrup as well as the sweet that keeps dissolving into your cold brew as you drink it.
My Go-To Strong Drink
- Venti Shaken Espresso
- Sub 2% milk with sweet cream
If you like stronger coffee and the taste of espresso, this is the perfect drink for you. The ratio of sweet cream and espresso shaken up with ice gives it such a delicious taste. This drink might be my favorite on the menu!!
My Go-To Fall Drink
- Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte (hot)
- Espresso
- Steamed 2% milk
- 4 pumps of pumpkin sauce
- Topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice
OR
- Grande pumpkin cream cold brew
- Cold brew
- 2 pumps of vanilla
- Topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and pumpkin pie spice
Both of these drinks will put you in the fall spirit. I love them both equally. It just really depends on what I’m in the mood for. The pumpkin spice latte is richer. I usually order that on a chilly fall day. The pumpkin cream cold brew is something lighter but will still give you that fall taste with the pumpkin cream cold foam on top!
My Go-To Winter Holiday Drink
- Grande Peppermint mocha latte (hot or cold)
- Espresso
- 2% milk (steamed or cold)
- 4 pumps of peppermint syrup
- 4 pumps of mocha sauce
- Topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings
This drink just tastes like the holidays and is amazing served hot or cold! Nothing makes me happier than sipping on my peppermint mocha while driving around, looking at the Christmas lights everywhere.
My Go-To Non-Coffee Drink
- Venti Black Iced Tea
- Add Lemonade
- No Classic Syrup
Typically, when I go to Starbucks, I order coffee; however, sometimes, I’m just not in the mood. This iced tea is a perfect drink when you want something lighter and more refreshing. You still can get that caffeine fix.
