5 Things I'm Looking Forward to This School Year

Posted on 8/16/2018 10:02:14 PM by Ceonna Morris

1) Becoming a Mentor
When I first came to Cabrini I signed up for the Next Steps program, which essentially gives you a mentor that helps you navigate campus and academics. This program gave me a sense of what campus was like when I had no clue. I want to give that same experience to an incoming freshman, so I signed up as a Mentor this year.

2) Rooming with My Friend!
I've known my friend since 9th grade and we just so happened to choose the same college. After trying out the different roommate thing the first year, both of us were unsatisfied with the experience and decided to live together this year.

3) Having Everything So Close
I live in Philly without a car, so that means most of my time is spent traveling from point A to point B. It'll be nice to have everything I need be no more than a 15-minute walk away.

4) The Freedom
With college comes a great amount of freedom. You can do what you want, when you want (there's still consequences to actions) and relax without worrying.

5) The Gym
I miss the gym. I haven't had the time to go to the gym this summer at home. At school, it's nice just walking up through campus and having a fully equipped gym at my fingertips.

I hope you guys had a good summer and are ready to come back to school. This is my last post of the summer, I'll see you guys on campus!
