15 Things To Do Within 15 Minutes of Cabrini

Posted on 10/2/2018 12:56:18 PM by Sophia Goussetis

With the first semester in full swing and adjustment into the regular college routine, students at Cabrini are eager to make memories with fellow classmates. Although Cabrini's campus doesn’t offer every type of activity, there are a large variety of fun places to visit within minutes of campus! I enjoy the peaceful and quiet environment at Cabrini, but I was eager to explore the surrounding area. Through a bit of research and help from Google Maps, I came across some of the best places Radnor, PA, has to offer to share with anyone looking for a good time and even better accessibility.

1. Devon Lanes Bowling Alley

Bowling, video arcade, and snack bar all within eight minutes of Cabrini. Including extended hours and daily price specials on the weekends.

2. Color Me Mine

Color Me Mine is a paint-your-own pottery studio just seven minutes away in the town of Wayne, PA. Visit just in time for any holiday gift needs.

3. Salvation Army

4. Goodwill

Goodwill and Salvation Army are two donation clothing centers both within 14 minutes of Cabrini. Whether donating, shopping, or both, thrift stores are a great way to look great and save money.

5. Lancaster Country Farmers Market - Wayne, PA

Six minutes away is a local market with everything from fresh pretzels and dessert cafes to flower shops and produce stands.

6. A Taste of Britain

Inside the Eagle Village Shopping Center is the Taste of Britain, a quaint tea cafe and gift shop just seven minutes away from campus.

7. Sugartown Strawberries

Although this is a 20-minute drive, Sugartown Strawberries could not be ignored. This produce market gives guests the opportunity to pick their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and until October 31, pumpkins.

8. Pinball Gallery

Fifteen minutes away is the Pinball Galleries video arcade. This arcade offers a variety of classic pinball games and snacks at a low cost for a fun-filled evening.

9. Dave and Buster's

For those who don’t know, Dave and Buster's is a family-friendly sports bar, restaurant, and arcade all in one. It is a great place to visit with family and friends only 15 minutes from Cabrini.

10. Chanticleer Garden

The Chanticleer Garden is a beautiful historical garden just nine minutes away from campus. The 35 acres of garden design, sculptures, ruins, and tennis court make for a great picnic destination and photo opportunity.

11. Elmwood Park Zoo

Elwood Park is a zoo just under 20 minutes from Cabrini University. Visit over 100 animal species from giraffes to eagles to alligators at the convenient price of $17.95.

12. Reel Cinemas Anthony Wayne Theater

In the exciting town of Wayne, PA, is the Reel Cinemas Movie theater. With just a nine-minute drive or Cabrini shuttle, check out the newest movies at a low cost with friends.

13. Expedition Escape! Escape Room

Get a group together and try to escape out of the Escape room, just nine minutes from campus. This is a great and fun way to build your Cabrini friendships.

14. King of Prussia Mall

A somewhat obvious destination is the King of Prussia Mall. Take the 15-minute Cabrini shuttle and enjoy a day of shopping, food, and fun.

15. Valley Forge Historical National Park

Another beautiful destination is 14 minutes away in Radnor, PA. The Valley Forge Historical Park is a 3,500-acre area of monuments and nature, dedicated to preserving the Revolutionary War. Plan your visit to enjoy the outdoors and learn the historical significance within it.

I encourage my fellow students of Cabrini University to use my research as a "bucket list" to complete with friends throughout the school year. Hopefully, this list makes it easier to explore the exciting area surrounding campus. But don't forget about all of the beautiful nature and fun events right here at Cabrini!
