Welcome to the end of October, where the leaves are crisp and the air is chilled ... some of the days. In my opinion, there is no better campus for walking around in the fall than Cabrini’s. October is an exciting month with preparing for Halloween and counting down the days until we get to enjoy all the delicious food on Thanksgiving Day.
As college students, we are all looking to participate in inexpensive activities that will get us in the mood for fall. I love looking for free and fun fall activities as a college student. Here is a tip: try taking advantage of Cabrini’s campus during the fall because of the large beautiful trees with the piles of falling leaves that crunch under our feet. Instead of paying a lot of money to explore someone else's fall-feeling property, why not take a walk around Cabrini, for free!
As college students, we are busy and always walking or running to where we have to be next. We rarely take the time to stop and enjoy the moment. We are so busy at times that we do not stop to look around us. Have you ever noticed just how alluring the Cabrini campus is? There is a lot to see on our campus and many beautiful sights to explore. My personal favorite is the chapel. The chapel is surrounded with fall colored flowers and the sunlight makes the stained glass windows glow when it catches the glass just right. You could also walk around the property of the Mansion which gives off a spooky October/fall feel. The abundance of trees that surround Cabrini’s campus decorate the campus for fall. There are beautiful colored leaves all over the ground. You may even catch a few leftover leaves falling in front of you while walking to and from class.
The plus side about choosing a smaller campus to attend college is that you can take advantage of everything the school has to offer without walking miles from one building to the next. For example, you can visit the chapel to see the flowers and stained glassed windows, then you can walk right over to the Mansion to explore the grounds and the scenery that surrounds it. There is just so much to see and do here at Cabrini regarding sightseeing. When I was doing my own exploring on campus, my goal was to take pictures for this blog that do the campus justice. The amount of photos I took was abundant. I struggled deleting what I did not need and what I wanted to put in this blog. I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to take a bad picture on this campus. Everything on campus is so photogenic.
When you are done taking in everything Cabrini’s beautiful campus has to offer, here are some affordable activities to get you ready for Halloween that are taking place on or through campus!
