Last week, I turned 19 years old, and like most college students, I had no idea what to do for my birthday. I still had a full day of classes the day of my birthday and the day after. That meant that I couldn't do anything too late or too far away from campus and I needed to make sure that it was affordable.
The restaurants around school that fit some of that criteria were: Cheesecake Factory Lux Cafe, Chilli's, etc. I didn't know what I wanted to do. My schedule also got in the way of preparing for my birthday. I didn't have time to get a new outfit, balloons. All in all, I thought my birthday was going to boring. It would be another day for me. In reality, that isn't what happened.
I had gotten four hours of sleep the night before but when I woke up, I was energized. I was really relaxed and excited to finish my painting. The rest of my classes were canceled spontaneously. I only had brief meetings throughout the rest of the day. Surprisingly, the cafe had a 'fun day,' and brought in cooks and the DJs from our radio station. The cafe had sundaes, boneless chicken, sweet potato-cheesecake pies and a lot of other stuff. Even though they were little things, I was just in a really good mood that would've happened regardless of it being my birthday. Later that night, my friends and I decided to go to Maggiano's. Our waiter was really nice, and I got my food for free (there was a hair in my pasta). Overall, it was a good day.
