Patricia Redden (’62) finally retired on June 30, 2020 as Professor of Chemistry from Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, NJ, after 52 years, and was named Professor Emerita. Patricia was also selected as the recipient of the George F. Johnson, S.J., Teaching Award by her faculty colleagues. Named in honor of the legendary Jesuit who served at Saint Peter’s, the award is presented to a member of the faculty whose excellence in teaching successfully led students to greater knowledge and understanding of their subject matter. |

Yvette Ousley (’88), Deputy News Editor/Education Editor for philly.com (the Philadelphia Media Network), was awarded an inaugural fellow position in the Lenfest Constellation News Leadership Initiative, a management development program designed to provide career coaching and executive leadership resources to Philadelphia-area media professionals of color pursuing senior roles in local news media enterprises, in September. She also received the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists Impact Award this past November. |

Dana Lips (’00) has had mild Cerebal Palsy since birth, but it never mattered to her or many others. Since her graduation from Cabrini in 2000, Dana has been an ESL volunteer teacher and wrote articles for a small newspaper. She is currently a print and hand model. Dana is currently an acting student at The Actor’s Co-Op in Swarthmore, PA, and is set to complete her first film. During the pandemic, she is working on voiceovers and film roles. |

Elizabeth Graham Meckes (’04) had the luck of the Irish when she met Steve Meckes in Conshocken on St. Patrick’s Day 20015. They were married on October 13, 2018 at the Ocean City Yacht Club, NJ. Liz and Steve welcomed their son, Dennis John “DJ” on May 20, 2020. 2015 John McManus (‘15) and Chrystal Voroscak (’15) tied the knot on April 17, 2020 at a small ceremony due to the pandemic. They became engaged on campus in 2018, at the spot of their first kiss. The two will be renewing their vows for all their family and friends in April 2021, where many of their Cabrini family will be in attendance.

2018 Ian Kelly (’18) a Delaware County police officer responded to the dispatch call of a lifetime on August 26 when he and his partner arrived at an apartment complex in Morton, PA. The two officers were greeted by a resident who was in labor. Kelly and his partner delivered a healthy baby. The baby’s father said the officers were “angels” in an interview with ABC News in Philadelphia. A featured story will be posted to the Cabrini University website. |
