Cabrini Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams Advance to NCAA Tournaments

With Atlantic East Conference (AEC) wins under their belts at home on Saturday, May 6, Cabrini University’s men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have advanced to their respective NCAA tournaments.

The Cabrini University men’s lacrosse team won its 22nd conference championship as the Cavaliers defeated Marymount University, 23-6, to claim the 2023 AEC title.

The No. 19-ranked Cavaliers will square off against the No. 10-ranked York College Spartans on Saturday, May 13, at host institution Tufts University.

Cabrini men’s lacrosse finished this season with a 14-4 overall record as the Cavaliers went undefeated in conference play for the 22nd straight year. The Cavaliers are 1-2 all-time against the Spartans. Cabrini enters the tournament on a four-game win streak and looks to extend it all the way to the program's second national title in four years.

Women’s lacrosse celebrated 13 consecutive conference championships as the Cavaliers topped Marywood University, 15-9, at the Edith Robb Dixon Field at Cabrini on May 6.

The Cavaliers will square off against Roger Williams University at host institution Wesleyan University on Saturday, May 13. This will be the women’s 20th NCAA appearance overall.

Cabrini women’s lacrosse went 14-5 on the year and 6-0 in conference play. The Cavaliers finished the season on a five-game win streak and went 9-0 at home this year. Saturday's game will be the first-ever meeting between Cabrini and Roger Williams.
