Cavalier Athletics took home all three Atlantic East Conference (AEC) all-sports awards for the 2021-22 season, earning both the Men’s and Women’s Commissioner’s Cups, as well as the AEC’s all-around sports honor, the Mike Drass trophy.
Each honor is awarded based on a point system which rewards institutions for fielding winning teams across each of the 20 fall, winter, and spring sports. Extra points are awarded for AEC championships and other team victories. More details about the scoring system can be found on the AEC website.
The Cavaliers’ all-around honors came following nine conference titles during the 2021-22 season—four during the fall championship weekend, and another five during the winter and spring seasons.
Cabrini also won the Men’s Commissioner’s Award and the Mike Drass Trophy in 2018-19, the last time the awards were given.
