Dear Cabrini community,
As we find ourselves nearly two weeks in to a successful virtual start to the spring semester, I wanted to provide some updates as we prepare to welcome members of the Cabrini community to campus.
Beginning February 15, all course modalities will resume as identified on the Term Master Schedule.
Remember, everyone on campus is required to follow all mitigation measures and protocols in place—wearing a mask, maintaining six feet of distance, and frequent hand washing. For further information on Cabrini’s COVID-19 protocols, please explore our COVID-19 Tool Kit, available at cabrini.edu/covid.
We look forward to Cabrini faculty and professional staff returning to campus the week of February 8, in anticipation of the students’ return to campus February 15. Please work within your area’s leadership to determine an appropriate in-office schedule. Departments are encouraged to stagger staffing if possible to further support mitigation strategies.
Residence halls will open for returning residential students the weekend of February 13-14, and all students returning to a residence hall are required to provide a documented negative COVID-19 test result, obtained via polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The Office of Residence Life has been communicating testing options, which include on-campus testing, free to resident students, on:
- Saturday, February 6 – 10am to 2pm
- Monday, February 8 – 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday, February 9 – 10am to 4pm
All resident students must be approved by Residence Life before they will be permitted to return to campus. Please see our Residence Life page for more information on returning to campus and testing.
Please note, dinner on February 13 will be the first board meal provided; dining will resume as takeout only until further notice. Shuttle service will resume with the Transportation Loop on February 13; full shuttle service will resume February 14.
Impacted students will receive a credit on their Cabrini accounts equal to three weeks prorated room and board (accounting for January 24 through February 14). These students’ Cabrini accounts will be credited by March 31, 2021. As a reminder, Flex Dollars on meal plans will not be adjusted and should be used in full by the end of the semester. Accounts will also be credited for purchased parking permits. Refunds for any credit on a student account will not be processed until the student graduates or officially withdraws from the University.
Cavs Cash will not be adjusted, as it does not expire but carries over from one semester to the next. Cavs Bonus Cash is non-refundable. If you are graduating and not returning to campus, please contact Tracy Eells at tracy.eells@sodexo.com to request a refund.
The Dixon Center and Nerney Pavilion will reopen for students, faculty, and staff on February 8, 2021, with strict mitigation measures and enhanced safeguards in place. Limited occupancy and alternate hours of operation to allow for enhanced cleaning will be enforced.
Reservations (occurring in 45-minute increments starting on the hour) for exercise areas and equipment must be made; please find more information and make reservations on the Cabrini Recreation website.

- Through February 5: 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday
