Message from Cabrini President Donald B. Taylor, PhD, as Cabrini begins all-online modality (March 23 update)

Posted on 3/23/2020 10:13:00 PM

Dear Cavalier community,

As this unprecedented situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, I continue to witness this Cabrini community rise to the challenge.

Today marks the start of Cabrini’s completely online class modality, and while I know this is not the spring semester anyone expected, I know the Cabrini spirit will continue to move our community forward.

The impact of this pandemic ripples through our entire community, affecting our students and families,  our faculty and staff, and our alumni and friends, in ways we've only begun to see

Students

We are here for you, Cavaliers. Please take a moment to view my personal reflection video that speaks directly to you.

As you begin your online-only instruction, we’re bolstering our resources to ensure a smooth transition. We continue to update cabrini.edu/covidresources as a repository of information. Additionally, our Campus Store is providing several offers that may help you access learning materials and online resources. Find out more on the Campus Store page on cabrini.edu.

If you are having trouble accessing your courses’ CabriniLearn pages (enter via the Cabrini Portal or learn.cabrini.edu), contact Cabrini’s 24/7 ITR Help Line at 610.902.8366 or itrhelp@cabrini.edu.

Faculty and Staff

I want to thank you for your ongoing efforts to ensure that Cabrini continues to deliver an Education of the Heart in unprecedented times. Your care and concern for the students, for their families, and for each other is apparent. It is the Cabrinian spirit put into action and a testament to the strength of community.

While I know you are impacted by the restrictions put into place with regard to campus accessibility, we are here for you. We ask that employees work remotely if they are able, and continue to update cabrini.edu/covidresources as a repository of information and available resources for working remotely. Additionally, we will soon have additional resources accessible via the Cabrini Portal.

As we facilitate our students’ transition to an online-only modality, we remain committed to supporting them and each other as we navigate these extraordinary times. If you need to access campus for an emergency situation, please contact Brian Eury in the President’s Office.

Please reach out to your manager, health@cabrini.edu, or to the Office of Human Resources with any questions or concerns.

In these rapidly changing times, the Cabrini community remains steadfast in its dedication to providing welcoming, supportive community that empowers its members by providing an Education of the Heart. The strength of our Cabrinian community is apparent, and our Cabrinian bond will become increasingly important as we move forward together.

We continue to monitor the situation, and will provide updates as they are available. Additional updates on events and campus accessibility will be provided on or before March 27, as promised.

I thank you for your continued cooperation and for all that you do for Cabrini. Stay safe, stay healthy, and take care of each other.

In the Cabrinian spirit,
