Reflections by award-winning composer and Assistant Professor of Music Stephen Grieco, DMA, is now available worldwide on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, and all major digital download and streaming sites. 'Reflections' features a collection of original instrumental compositions ranging from solo piano to full orchestra that musically portrays and highlights some of today’s political, environmental, and social justice challenges while allowing the listener to reflect upon their actions and thoughts with the world and people around them.
“I love teaching music,” said Grieco, whose courses include music technology, composition, theory, and history. “I believe it is also important to remain an active composer and musician. It is always my hope to bring my experiences to my students in a relevant way, especially in today’s changing music industry. ‘Reflections’ was not only fun for me to write, but I will use the entire process as a teaching tool.”
Grieco has been composing music since the age of seven. His music has been recorded, published, and performed in Europe and across the United States. Grieco has received awards and honors from the North American Artist Foundation, Pro Musica, and the Contemporary Music Society, to mention a few. For this album, Grieco composes in a contemporary classical style, showcasing a wide variety of unique ensembles, styles, and moods in this ten-song one-hundred and ten-minute album.
