RADNOR, Pa. (April 26, 2017)—Cabrini University has been recognized with a trifecta of awards and accolades as it completes the 2016-17 academic year.
The University has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Best Value Colleges in PA; one of the Top 50 Best Small Colleges in the nation; and as a College of Distinction.
The University receives the honors prior to hosting its first commencement as a University and during its 60th anniversary year.
Cabrini was ranked a Top 50 College in Pennsylvania for Return on Investment (ROI) based on the University’s 20-year ROI for graduates. The rankings also evaluate on-campus costs, excluding financial aid.
The annual PayScale.com College ROI Report is designed to help prospective students and families make informed decisions related to college debt and relative earning potential.
Cabrini was recognized as a College of Distinction for its innovative application of high impact education practices. The University was named to both the Colleges of Distinction’s Catholic and Pennsylvania lists.
Nominated by high school counselors and educators, Colleges of Distinction are evaluated on key indicators including student engagement, student empowerment, and curricular innovation. Cabrini demonstrated outcomes across the Four Distinctions—Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Community, and Successful Outcomes. The annual process also reviews the institution’s first-year experience, as well as its general education program, strategic plan, and alumni success and satisfaction measures.
Cabrini was named a Top 50 Best Small College in the U.S. for its ongoing commitment to social justice and community service. The award highlights that Cabrini was one of the first institutions in the nation to make community service a graduation requirement.
Gathered from data on enrollment, retention, graduation rate, tuition, and degrees from the National Center for Education Statistics, the rankings were based on a scoring rubric to find the top 50 small colleges across the nation.
