Cabrini Appoints Vice President for Marketing and New Vice President Position for Adult and Professional Programs

RADNOR, Pa. (Jan. 29, 2015)—Cabrini College named Celia Cameron as vice president for marketing and communications and Marguerite Weber, D.A., as vice president for adult and professional programs.

“Celia and Marguerite are tremendous additions to the Cabrini community,” said President Donald B. Taylor, Ph.D. “With proven expertise in each of their roles, I am confident they will enhance the mission and distinctiveness of Cabrini College.”

Celia Cameron will oversee all media and marketing initiatives to support the College’s strategic goals. Weber will oversee the academic and administrative development of the College’s adult and non-traditional education programs.

For more than a decade, Cameron has worked in marketing and communication in higher education.

Most recently, she served as assistant vice president for advancement communications and donor relations at Lehigh University. There, she developed a strategic plan which included the launch of data-driven outreach and communication.

Previously, Cameron worked at the University of Pennsylvania where she oversaw the redesign of the development website as director of external communications, and managed an overhaul of the division-wide strategic plan as senior divisional director at the Wharton School. Prior to that, she held communications roles at Fordham University and Columbia University.

Cameron earned a bachelor of science in communications from Cornell University and a master of arts in global marketing communications and advertising at Emerson College.

Marguerite Weber has served as an academic leader and faculty member within higher education for more than three decades. Since 2006, Weber was the director for student academic affairs and academic initiatives at the University of Baltimore.

While there, she developed new programs and services, including design of the first–and second–year programs and initiatives for community outreach related to college completion for traditional and non-traditional learners.

Weber also served as affiliated associate professor of English. She is a consulting fellow for academic transformation for the John N. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education and served as an Academic Transformation Fellow for the University System of Maryland.

Prior to that, Weber was associate vice president of learning/dean of arts and sciences at Frederick Community College. She also held leadership roles at State University of New York, College at Oneonta, and Anne Arundel Community College and served in faculty roles at Harrisburg Area Community College, Anne Arundel Community College, and East Carolina University.

Weber earned a bachelor of arts in literature from American University; a master of arts in adult education and a certificate of advanced graduate study in rhetoric from East Carolina University; and, a master of arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied as a recipient of the Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities.

Weber earned a graduate certificate in Institutional Research from Pennsylvania State University and a doctorate of arts in higher education and English from George Mason University.
