Cabrini Classic

RADNOR, Pa. (March 31, 2014) – Cabrini College will honor The Haverford Trust Company and its founder, George W. Connell, at the 25th Annual Cabrini Classic on May 5.

As the College’s largest annual fundraising event, proceeds from the Classic directly benefit Cabrini students. The Classic is presented by USLI and supported by The Haverford Trust Company. The event includes golf, a cocktail reception and dinner, and silent and live auctions at the Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli, Pa.

Serving as lead sponsors of the Cabrini Classic for many years, The Haverford Trust Company and George Connell are befitting honorees for the milestone anniversary. Connell founded The Haverford Trust Company in 1979 as Rittenhouse Financial Services, an investment advisory firm focused on high quality, dividend-paying equity securities.

Based in Radnor, Pa., Haverford has 75 employees and more than $7 billion under management or consultation.

Past Cabrini Classic honorees include Thomas P. Nerney '77; Caswell “Cas” Holloway, III; Edith Robb Dixon HON’80; Sr. Mary Louise Sullivan, MSC, Ph.D. ’63; Margaret Hamilton Duprey ’73 HON’08; Robert Pucci and Robert L. D’Anjolell Sr. HON’08.
