Cabrini business administration faculty members Erin McLaughlin, PhD, and Vonya Womack accompanied 16 Cabrini students on a spring break trip to Costa Rica.
The group learned how fair-trade and free-trade plantations and cooperatives function for the betterment of the local community.

The trip was part of the Engagements with the Common Good course, “Studying Fair Trade in Costa Rica.”
From February 28 to March 6, 2014, the group visited the Costa Rican cities of San Jose, Puerto Viejo, and Monteverde.
Students and faculty also climbed the famed Arenal Volcano and zip-lined through a “cloud forest.”
