London Short-Term Study Abroad

Short-term study abroad courses take place at Cabrini, but include a 7 to 10 day international component during the spring semester.

On Stage: Live in London

This course (CCA 213 / ENG 289 - 3 credits, no prerequisites) is a survey of the history of theatre, with an emphasis on the experiential study of contemporary English-speaking theatre.

In a series of weekly on-campus seminars, students will explore the traditions and nature of British and American theatre. English Department Chair and Associate Professor Michelle Filling-Brown, PhD, and Professor Seth Frechie, PhD, will lead these seminars.

Students will experience and analyze a variety of dramatic and musical-dramatic works with a week of seminars and theatre performances in London, England.

The course meets the Aesthetic Appreciation (“A”) core requirements or can be counted towards requirements for the English major/minor or theatre minor or general elective credits.

Cabrini students in the past experienced London theatres, toured the BBC, and met Oscar-nominated actress Dame Angela Lansbury.
