Roommates

First-year and transfer students

First-year and transfer Cabrini University students complete a roommate questionnaire to be paired with a compatible roommate.

You need to complete the Housing Application before June 1st if you plan to live on campus! Roommate preferences are considered, but only if both parties request one another on the application, will they be reviewed. Apply by June 1st to ensure your roommate preferences are reflected. Students who apply after June 1st will be placed based on availability, and roommate preference considerations will be limited.

Please understand, if you are in a Living Learning Community (LLC), your LLC placement will be considered a priority before any roommate requests are considered. Your LLC placement will determine your room assignment location. All students are required to complete a Learning Community (LC) Application.

Returning Students

During Housing Selection, students can request roommates.

  • All roommate requests must be mutual
  • Returning Students are allowed to live with any class status.
  • For Example, a Rising Senior will be able to request a roommate of a lower class (junior or sophomore) and be pulled into the room. A fully matched roommate group must be formed prior. Rising Juniors can also pull Rising Sophomores into rooms.

Roommate Conflict

If roommates have problems, they should contact their Resident Assistant to mediate a solution.

Irreconcilable differences will be brought to the attention of the Assistant Director of Residence Life.
