Cabrini University’s 2021 Commencement Ceremonies will be held socially distanced on May 22. Students have been assigned to attend one ceremony depending on their major within their academic school.
The times for the ceremonies are as follows:
(BAM) - School of Business, Arts and Media - 9am
(ED) - School of Education - 11:30am
(HSS) - School of Humanities and Social Sciences - 2pm
(NSAH) - School of Natural Sciences & Allied Health - 4:30pm
Commencement Mass will take place in the Bruckman Memorial Chapel of Saint Joseph on Thursday, May 20th, at 4pm. Mass is for STUDENTS ONLY. Please RSVP by Tuesday, May 18, to Megan Norris, email@example.com, if you plan to attend in person.
Graduates may invite two guests to join them for their ceremony, where they will be seated together under a tent on the Upper Athletic Field on campus.
The ceremonies will occur rain or shine. Masks must be worn at all times, regardless of vaccination status, per CDC guidelines for public events.
Bring Your Tickets
You and your guests must show your Commencement tickets from Eventbrite on paper, a phone, or another electronic device to enter campus and the tent on the Upper Athletic Field. NOTE: If you did not reserve your tickets through Eventbrite, your tickets will be assigned by us and emailed to you by Friday, May 14.
Please arrive 15–30 minutes before your ceremony’s starting time so that you will have enough time to park and get to your seats under the tent. It will also give you time to visit the Honor’s Table to pick up departmental, honors, and Latin honors medals. (If you are receiving a medal, you will be notified next week that you have something to pick up on your way into the Commencement tent.)
Park in Founder’s Lot
Guests will be directed to park in Founder’s lot. Attendees with a handicapped parking placard may park in the designated spaces in the Dixon Center lot. Those in need of a handicapped parking pass should contact Carmel-Jo Madonna at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-902-8416.
Wear Your Attire
Undergraduate and master’s-level students: arrive in your academic attire, including hat, gown, and hood. You may wear any and all medals and/or cords that you receive around your neck, and you may wear only one stole representing a student organization.
Doctoral students: arrive in your gown, carrying hoods over your arms. You will be hooded on stage.
Restrooms Will Be Available
Accessible restrooms will be available in Grace Hall. If you need to leave the tent during the ceremony, be sure to get a ticket from a staff member to reenter the tent when you return.
Sign Up for Emergency Alerts
Please sign up for Cabrini's emergency notification system and check this webpage prior to Commencement on May 22 for any last-minute changes due to weather conditions. We will continue to update the website and social media with any modifications.
For those who cannot attend, the ceremonies will be streamed online in real-time.
We are looking forward to celebrating our graduates this May in a manner that respects the need to protect the health of everyone in attendance and in compliance with the guidelines and mitigation measures required by the Governor of Pennsylvania.
