The Staff Advisory Council (StAC) is recognized by the President and the President’s Cabinet for the purpose of discussing, informing, and advising the Director of Human Resources on personnel policy issues. The Council’s primary function is to advocate for issues/policies of importance as they pertain to staff.
The Council also advises and works collaboratively with the Director of Human Resources who oversees the University policies to help ensure that all employees are treated in a uniform and equal manner. Any full-time regular staff members (except for members of President’s Cabinet) who have completed their Initial Employment Period (IEP) shall be eligible for membership on the Council. The Director of Human Resources serves as an ex-officio member.
Please feel free to email us with any questions or concerns or stop by during our "half-hour open discussion time," which takes place on the second Wednesday of each month from 2:30-3pm.
The StAC Committee would like you to join us for some or all of our summer events! Please RSVP for BOTH events at your earliest convenience so that we can plan accordingly. We are also excited to share that staff are welcome to dress casual this summer, beginning the day after Memorial Day until Move-In Day (please dress business casual as usual if you have a meeting with outside constituents at any point this summer).
