Guidance for Specific Campus Scenarios
Gatherings and meetings should be conducted virtually whenever possible, even when you are on campus. Extracurricular activities and events that cannot be conducted virtually should follow physical distancing guidelines.
Large gatherings and events will continue to be significantly decreased through the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, and must adhere to the requirements that correspond to the appropriate phase of Governor Wolf’s reopening plan (i.e., no more than 250 people outdoors, 25 indoors in the green phase, physical distancing measures and face masks in place, etc.). Cabrini will not host on-campus large events to the external public in the fall 2020 semester.
Public Transportation and Shuttle
If/when using public transportation, wear a mask at all times, limit touching surfaces, and avoid touching your face. Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer with 60 percent alcohol as soon as possible.
The Cabrini shuttle will run on a modified schedule that increases runs because each shuttle will operate at half capacity (currently maxed at seven riders). Students will have priority seating, followed by faculty and staff. Due to the modified capacity, delays are possible.
All riders will be required to wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose. Individuals without masks or with improperly worn masks will not be permitted to ride. Seats will be marked with signage to promote appropriate physical distancing guidelines, and a shield separating the passengers from the driver will be in place.
As per CDC guidelines, vehicles will be cleaned once at the beginning of the shift and once at the end of the shift. Cabrini will also conduct an additional mid-shift cleaning to ensure patron and driver safety.
Working in Confined Spaces
Practice six feet of physical distance at all times and wear a mask whenever you’re in a room with another person. Always follow the Personal Safety Practices provided.
Wear a mask, observe six feet of physical distance, and wash your hands thoroughly after using the restroom.
Public restrooms (those in high-traffic areas) will be cleaned at minimum three times per day.
Limit elevator occupancy to two people at a time, positioned in opposite corners. Refrain from touching the buttons with exposed hands and fingers, if possible, and clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer as soon as possible after departing the elevator.
