Act 121

In October 2018, former Governor Wolf signed into law Act 121 of 2018 (Act 121) which creates new duties for postsecondary institutions regarding education loans. Beginning in September 2019, Colleges and Universities are required to notify students of the balance of education loans the students have borrowed to date.

As this is a yearly requirement for Institutions located in Pennsylvania, updated information will be sent during the spring semester.

These notices are for your information only and no response or action is necessary, however, if you have questions regarding your Federal and non-federal loans, please follow the guidance found in the notification or contact your Financial Aid Counselor.

More information about this notification from the state of Pennsylvania can be found here - https://www.education.pa.gov/Documents/Postsecondary-Adult/Act%20121%20Annual%20Student%20Loan%20Notification%20Guidelines.pdf
