Nursing Scholarships
Maguire Nursing Scholars
Cabrini University has partnered with The Maguire Foundation to offer incoming Nursing students essential scholarship support. Maguire Nursing Scholars at Cabrini may receive up to $5,000 each year for four years—$20,000 total. These “last dollar” scholarships help families with demonstrated financial need fill the gap they may face in funding their student’s higher education.
We will select up to six students who have been accepted into the Cabrini’s Nursing major to receive this scholarship. Priority consideration will be given to students from the Faith in the Future high schools, St. Joseph's Preparatory School, AIM Academy, Merion Mercy Academy, Archdiocesan High Schools, or Cristo Rey, but anyone meeting the eligibility requirements below may apply.
Who is eligible?
Eligible students will:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Meet admission criteria for the Cabrini University Nursing program
- Participate in community service and/or extracurricular activities
How do I apply?
Take the following steps to apply to become a Maguire Scholar at Cabrini:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15, and release your information to Cabrini. Use Title IV School Code 003241.
- Complete your Nursing Scholarship Application by February 15.
- Apply to Cabrini's Nursing Program—our scholarship priority deadline is February 15.
PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to complete your applications in full or you will be ineligible for the scholarship.

Independence Blue Cross Foundation Healthcare Scholars
Cabrini University has partnered with the Independence Blue Cross Foundation's Healthcare Scholars program to offer one scholarship to an incoming Nursing student. This scholarship, along with Cabrini institutional financial aid, will cover the cost of tuition and fees for the 2023-24 academic year—$36,865 total.
Who is eligible?
Eligible students will:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Meet admission criteria for the Cabrini University Nursing program
- Be a resident of one of the following 11 counties: Delaware—New Castle County; New Jersey—Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, or Salem County; or Pennsylvania—Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia County.
- Priority consideration will be given to students of a minority racial background, Hispanic ethnic background, OR a male (or other underrepresented gender identities within the field of Nursing)
*At this time, the scholarship is only guaranteed to the recipient for the 2023-24 academic year. Please note, if we are unable to offer the scholarship in continuing academic years, the student will receive the merit scholarships awarded at the time of acceptance and any additional need-based financial aid awarded through the FAFSA.
How do I apply?
